I’m one of three shortlisted candidates for the role of Artistic Director of the Portland Baroque Orchestra in the USA. As the third largest Baroque orchestra in the USA, this obviously presents me with a truly exciting opportunity at what is an ideal stage of my career.
But it won’t surprise you to read that the competition is ferocious. Spurred on by this, I recently consulted a couple of fellow classical musicians across the pond. Inter alia, they stated unequivocally that I need to improve my online profile with at least another 500 followers on Twitter in order to ‘boost my chances of being appointed’!
If you could follow my Twitter account @PluckyPerkins, I would be enormously grateful. If appointed, I would gladly offer any OS followers comps to our performances. This can’t be a bad (possible) return on a quick click… Whatever happens, please do get in touch via my website, www.julianperkins.com It would be lovely to reminisce about halcyon days at Summer Fields.
