Sharky and George's first party was in 2001 when OS, George Whitefield and Old Ludgrovian Charlie Astor were given an unusual punishment by their housemaster at Eton for playing a particularly excellent prank on him. After duping him into having a whole pint of water poured down his trousers, they were tasked with putting on a party for NJR's daughter's 6th birthday with 30 of her friends. The only guidance was that she didn't like clowns, so no weird dressing up or strange characters. Charlie and George played lots of classic party games and everyone had a blast!
There is now a team of about 250 freelance experts in fun who run the parties and a full time creative planning team of 24 in the Parson's Green HQ. As well as children's parties, Sharky and George now run big events for adults, fun team building and away days for corporates and all sorts of extraordinary international adventures! From a race across Europe for 120 adults last September to a Pirate Treasure Hunt in Costa Rica in February this year, there's a broad range of fun and mischief that Sharky and George get up to, with no real limit!
